Litt om Turn - TeamGym

Gymnastics requires the gymnast to use his or her body to complete various exercises, either freestanding or using various forms of apparatus. Gymnastics is a sport where competitions are arranged for both individual gymnasts and teams. Gymnastics teaches you good control over your body, developing suppleness, flexibility and strength.

Many gymnastic exercises have their roots in childhood games, such as leapfrog, forward and backward flips and somersaults. For such simple exercises you do not need any equipment and they can be done on the floor or on a mat. Other gym exercises touring exercises are more complicated and require apparatus. This is called apparatus gymnastics, and includes exercises such as uneven and parallel bars, various jumps, boom and freestanding. In competitions, the judges will assess the level of difficulty and execution and rate the gymnasts accordingly.
